Stronger and Stronger Every Day
Definitely worth getting up early to go to Crossfit!
I feel so much better knowing I’ve worked out already, and I have a lot more energy! Not as tired in class even though I woke up an hour earlier than usual. I think I may see a new routine forming….
Waking up in 6.5 hours (at 4:45) to go to Crossfit! With an injury and then softball, it’s been hard to fit it in and I haven’t been for over two weeks so at this point I need to stop making excuses and find a way to fit it in. Unfortunately that’s only possible if I go to the 5:15am class….
Hummus Lettuce Wraps.
I love wraps, but sometimes they’re a bit heavy for hot summer days. Using romaine lettuce leaves as the wrap instead is a great alternative - here’s how I do mine! :D
Stage 1 - the ‘wraps’.
Stage 2 - hummus and cold brown rice (that’s been simmered in veggie stock).
Stage 3 - grated carrot and zucchini.
Stage 4 - cucumber, red bell pepper, sweet chilli sauce and black pepper.
Stage 5 - fold ‘em up!
Stage 6 - nom away!
This looks like a great, easy recipe for a packed lunch to bring to school/work/wherever you crazy folk spend your days
When I had too many calories for breakfast and have to eat less the rest of the day, I’m just like
There’s no such thing as too many calories for breakfast if you’re eating the right thing. A serving of 100% whole grain oats from trader joes has 150 calories. Add a smushed up banana and some cinnamon and I can barely EVER finish it, and when I do I am absolutely stuff. Under 300 calories, not that they matter.
BAM.
Eat the right foods and fuck calories. They’re just the attention whores in the world of healthy eating.
Healthy College Life: The summertime fruit trifecta: Peaches, Plums, and Nectarines
I don’t think I even need to try to tell you that all three of these fruits taste absolutely phenomenal. I really can’t picture a summer trip to my aunt and uncle’s house in Virginia without thinking about my aunt cutting up a peach for me… I can picture it now. Curious as to why these three…
Some interesting facts- definitely going to be reaching for plums due to that help with iron absorbency!
